Dive into underwater hockey on Rookie Day, a special practice we've designed for beginners! Learn the basics and enjoy a fun, welcoming introduction to the sport.
When: Sunday May 25th @ 9-10:30am
Where: MNP Community & Sport Centre
Underwater hockey is a low contact, co-ed sport designed for 6v6 play at the bottom of a swimming pool. Players wear snorkeling gear and hold their breath while playing. Specialized sticks are used to control a weighted puck.
New players are always welcome! The first two weeks are free, and our annual club membership costs $200/year. The club will provide trial starter equipment including mask, snorkel, water polo caps, fins, sticks, glove, and mouthguard.
Our players span a wide variety of skill levels, ranging from absolute beginners to players who've competed at multiple world championships. Club members regularly compete at major tournaments across Canada and internationally.
